We are a traditional karate club founded by Steve Crowley who holds the rank of 8th Dan with the AMA governing body. He is one of the highest raking instructors in the country and and creator of our style. The club is one that welcomes everybody, is totally inclusive and encourages families to train together. We have a program of training for the beginner to high ranking black belts. First of all learning karate at HKK is friendly and fun as well as really good exercise. Children are taught how to concentrate, help others and to respect fellow karateka as well as their parents and school teachers. Many of our juniors have gone on to be instructors and achieving their black belt Dan grade. Unlike many other 'for profit' organisations, students grades have to be earned through knowledge of the syllabus, attendance, effort and how they behave in the dojo. So come and say hello, the first class is free and if any parents want to join in too that's just how we like it.
